Dynamic Sword Skills Mod 1.12.2/1.11.2 is a mod for those who just want the combat skills from ZSS and none of the mobs, items, world gen, etc. In addition, there are ‘skill’ items which grant the user use of a skill, even if the user does not know the skill – these can be found scattered throughout the land.
When attacking with unarmed, no Minecraft XP is awarded, no MCMMO exp is awarded, and the 1 block knockback typical for attacks does not happen. (The problem with the 1 block knockback is also present for axes, which still have knockback when 'struck with great force.' ) All other weapons behave as previously, using the same mob sources. Minecraft Shotter, You kill someone with it. Other Skills Acrobatics. Overview: Reduces fall damage and improves damage dodge chance, making it useful for those who PvP or explore a lot. Abilities: Roll. Unarmed grants you the Iron Arm ability so you dont get disarmed by an unwanted player. Once you reach a certain stage with Unarmed, you can unarm your opponent, take their weapon, and switch to your axe, breaking their armor. Also, when combined with Strength II, these techniques are OP. Axes and Unarmed FTW. /redeem (skill) (amount) -add credits to a skill /mcmmoxp (skill) -shows the amount of mcmmo xp you have in a certain skill /withdrawmcmmmo (skill) (xp) -withdraw mcmmo xp into a note; McMMO credits can be purchased from the store or obtained via vouchers in-game. Note: You cannot redeem credits to a child skill such as salvage. Unarmed is a combat skill; it uses the player's empty hand as a weapon. It includes many perks, such as disarming, deflecting arrows, higher base unarmed attack, and more.
Is vanilla Minecraft combat too boring for you? Fear not, This mod will have you parrying, dodging, and attempting to perform strategic devastating attacks on your enemies.
This mod is a standalone version providing only the combat skills, for those who don’t want tons of Zelda-related items, mobs, dungeons and other things clogging up their games but still want to spice up combat. By default, each player will begin with a single Basic Sword skill orb; more orbs can be acquired by looting chests or by defeating mobs and even other players. Weapons with Looting give a much higher chance of an orb drop, and various settings can be configured in the configuration file.

Basic Controls:
The default control settings are described below, and may be accessed and changed in the in-game control settings available from the options menu.
While using Basic Sword Technique to lock on to a target, certain keys become available for use in lieu of using the mouse, although the mouse may also be used and is, in fact, recommended.
In the game options menu under control settings for ‘Dynamic Sword Skills Keys’, you will find all of the key bindings used by DSS; DO NOT assign any of these to WASD or LMB / RMB – those are vanilla controls which may be used as alternates to some of the mod keys, provided that the config setting is set to allow skill activation via vanilla controls (which it is by default).
What this means is if vanilla controls are enabled, you can use either the DSS ‘Attack’ key [up arrow], OR the vanilla attack key [LMB] to perform an attack while locked on to a target, but assigning the LMB to be the DSS ‘Attack’ key would likely not give you the desired result.
Gamepad Users: you may want to assign the left and right arrow keys to buttons on your controller, otherwise you may not be able to activate Spin Attack.
Key Effect
x Activate or deactivate Basic Sword Technique’s targeting system
Tab Switches targeting to the next available target
. (period) Toggle auto-targeting: when on, next available opponent will automatically be targeted when the current target is no longer valid; press while sneaking to toggle player-targeting.
v Toggles the combo HUD on/off
p Opens or closes the Skill Book (no item required)
Arrow Keys (only usable while locked on to a target)
Up Interchangeable with the ‘attack’ key (LMB by default)
Down Interchangeable with the ‘back’ key (‘s’ by default)
Left Interchangeable with the ‘left’ key (‘a’ by default)
Right Interchangeable with the ‘right’ key (‘d’ by default)
RCtrl Interchangeable with the ‘use item’ key (RMB by default)
Note that using the arrow keys is the only way possible to use certain skills with a single keystroke – using WASD always requires a ‘double-tap’, i.e. tapping the same key twice in quick succession.
Note also that there is no equivalent of ‘forward’ when using the arrow keys, so the vanilla keybinding (‘w’ by default) must always be used when called for in a skill’s activation requirements.

Experience gain[edit]
Experience in Unarmed is gained by dealing damage with your fists to mobs, or players.
The experience gained is based on how much damage you deal to a mob, or player. In addition to this, each mob has its own experience multiplier, which can be changed within the configuration files.
Super ability[edit]
Berserk[edit]
The Berserk ability is activated by right clicking with no items equipped, whilst you have a block or mob 'selected' in your crosshairs and then left clicking. Clicking when your crosshairs are aimed at something yet not selected (e.g., a faraway block) will not trigger the ability, nor ready the ability.
When activated, Berserk has a few benefits. Firstly, if you left click on stone bricks they will change into cracked stone bricks. Secondly, blocks with no blast resistance (leaves, grass blocks, dirt, etc.) will break much faster with your bare hands. Thirdly, you receive a +50% damage boost on top of your current level's damage boost.
The duration of Berserk increases by 1 second every 50 (5 normal) levels, and starts at 2 seconds at level 1.

Passive sub-skills[edit]
Arrow Deflect[edit]
The Arrow Deflect passive sub-skill provides a chance to both deflect an arrow, and cause said arrow to ricochet back and hit your attacker. The chance to cause an arrow to be flung back at your attacker is much lower than that of a normal deflect.
When this sub-skill unlocks at level 200 (20 standard), it only has one rank but the chance to deflect continues to increase every 100 (10 normal) levels.

Disarm[edit]
The Disarm passive sub-skill provides a chance to disarm your opponent in a pvp fight. This has no effect in pve; e.g., you cannot disarm a skeleton. This sub-skill can cause a player to drop anything currently held in their main hand, from blocks, to food, to weapons. Said item will drop on the ground, where you or your opponent will have a chance to pick it up.
This sub-skill has a maximum chance of 33%, which is attained at level 1000 (100 normal). It is unlocked at level 250 (25 normal).

Iron Arm Style[edit]
The Iron Arm Style passive sub-skill provides extra damage to mobs and players you attack with your bare hands, which increases based on your Iron Arm Style rank. By default, this sub-skill adds +4 damage (2 hearts) at rank 1. Note that this is raw damage, prior to armour calculation - think of it like the +4 damage displayed on a wooden sword. Your rank increases at a configurable level threshold.

Iron Grip[edit]
Unarmed Skills Poe
The Iron Grip passive sub-skill which exists solely to provide you with a chance to negate another player's Disarm skill. Iron grip has a 100% chance at level 1000 (100 normal), which will effectively make it impossible for you to be disarmed.
This sub-skill is unlocked at level 600 (60 normal) and starts with a 60% chance to not be disarmed. It increases by 1%, every 10 (1 normal) levels.

Limit Break[edit]
The Limit Break sub-skill is intended to make Protection IV players less tanky and for you to feel more powerful for having a high skill level. Limit Break has 10 ranks, each rank gives 1 extra raw damage, this is damage before reductions from armour and enchantments. The net result is you deal about 50% more damage with an end game skill compared to before. At max rank, you can two-hit a player in normal diamond armour, whereas it takes around five hits to kill a player in Protection IV diamond armour.
For PvP, this sub-skill only activates on a player when they have armour equipped. As such, players with no armour will not receive the extra damage. The extra damage is also scaled to what kind of armour the player is wearing. Leather, iron, gold, and chain will only have 25% of your current limit break damage. Diamond will have 50%, and netherite will have 75%. If you enable the 'AllowPVE' setting in the 'advanced.yml' file, this sub-skill is active at all times. Note that by default, this sub-skill is disabled for PvE.
The limit break sub-skill is unlocked at level 100 (10 normal).
Damage increase ranks[edit]

Note: The above listed values only apply with the default configuration.Trivia[edit]
- Many servers have disabled the Unarmed skill, due to the feeling that it 'devalues' weapons such as swords.
- Unarmed can be useful in a pinch, if you enable the configuration setting to allow damage and experience gain with held items.
